Online Application Portal
Credentialing is a voluntary professional recognition scheme designed to recognise nurses for practicing in a speciality area and is only available to Registered Nurses working in:
- Children & young people's nursing, or
- Mental health nursing
You do not have to be a member of the college to apply for credentialing, but you do need to be eligible to apply for credentialing.
Before you start -
We recommend you download a copy of the application Guidelines from your specialty website to ensure you are ready to apply. The information in the Guidelines will help you assess if you are ready to proceed with your application.
Information is also provided throughout the portal to guide and assist you with submitting your application.

What does 'This task cannot be started at this time' mean?
You will need to complete the profile task first before you can commence your application.
How do I return to an incomplete application?
If you need to return to your application, you can save the web link to your bookmarks and return from this page.
I have forgotten my username - how do I find out what it is?
Your username is the email address you used to set up the account. If you have forgotten your username you will need to contact c4n.enquiries@acmhn.org. PLEASE DO NOT create another account unless you are applying for a different specialty.
I have changed my email address - how do I update it?
You can update your email address in your Account Settings when you log in.
I have forgotten my password - how do I reset it?
Please click on the "Forgot your password?" above the "Log In" button on the sign-in page.
I am having problems resetting my password - what do I do?
If you are encountering issues resetting your password and are unable to use the password reset tool, you will need to ask for assistance from SMApply directly. Please contact the technical support team via email by going to the information ('i') icon at the top right of your screen and select Having technical issues with this site? SMApply will be very happy to investigate the issue with you. Please note that it is very likely you may not receive a reply from them until the next business day. This is because their team is located overseas.
I am not receiving a verification email - what should I do?
If you are expecting to receive a verification email but haven't, you will need to contact the technical support team. Please contact the technical support team via email by going to the information ('i') icon at the top right of your screen and select Having technical issues with this site? and follow the instructions. As their support team is located overseas, you may not receive a reply from them until the next business day.
